i love this theme! i really really do, i think it is the best theme for wordpress to date.

ghyslain.armand Says:

thank you so much Weston

Jim Munroe Says:

A very lovely theme! I adapted it for my use, adding a second column and changing the masthead. I’m looking forward to the safari tab fix, and as you can see it doesn’t handle long headlines perfectly. But minor quibbles on an aesthetic and technical beauty! Let me know if anything in my store appeals to you, I’d like to send you a gift.

ghyslain.armand Says:

Hello Jim, thank you for your feedback first. Then i’m happy to see this theme in action on your site, these three columns are a good idea, nice work.
The biggest gift you could send me would be the navtab fix, believe me. I really want this theme works on all browsers but tools are missing here if you could do a such thing that would be great. Your tee-shirt looks good otherwise :-)

darkmotion Says:

Sweeet as! - I am going to use this as a base for fadedpixel.com :D

Gilles Says:

Hi,
first i want to say that your theme is really great, even if I have so mroblem with it:
First, the link widget is not encapsulated in a green rounded container…
Another problem that I have is that the Flikr photo widget isn’t in the available Sidebar Widgets list on my admin page even if the *.php file is in the widget folder

ghyslain.armand Says:

Gilles, the link widget is indeed not encapsulated in a green box, the xhtml code produced seems to be different from others, give the time to see why and i reply to you back asap.
Regarding the flickr widget, remember that it appears in your sidebar administration with the name “theme widget 1″, drag it then edit it to make sure the right file (widget-flickr.php) is selected in, it should work.

jess Says:

thank you for this theme. it’s all my favourite colours. i’m using v.1 because the flowers remind me of cherry blossoms. i love it.

Greg Says:

Hi,
Great theme indeed very soft and designfull.

I’m using your theme for my site but i do have a problem that needs to be fixed. When you take a look http://wonder.nuonflux.com you’ll see that everything appears fine but once you hit another page to see the comments for example you’ll see that my sidebar is no longer at the right place! It’s at the end of the page and not on top of it. Idem for all the other pages (I’m looking on a 1024×768 resolution) If tried to make it smaller in the stylesheet but it doesn’t seem to work.

Could you please have a look at that and keep me updated of what could be the problem so i can fix it?

Thanks a lot for your quick response.

Cheers
Greg

ghyslain.armand Says:

Hi Greg, i’m sorry but can’t see what going wrong on your site, everything looks fine for me here, your sidebar floats on right, your comments and posts content are good too. Wich browser do you use and could you please send me a screenshot ?

Erick S. Says:

Looks amazing! I love rounded corners!
I have a question though…

Whenever there is a post with very long paragraphs these paragraphs are presented as just one long sentence and just go through the layout, causing a horizontal scrollbalk (the horror!).

What am I doing wrong? (Im not using the theme presented here, cause I am just getting started with the whole WordPress phenomenon…)

Hoping on an answer…Thanks!

ghyslain.armand Says:

Erick -> thank you but i could hardly help you if you don’t use Rounded V2 theme or show me an example of what ’s happening.

Jenna Says:

I am currently implementing this on my site and have a question. When I view the layout in FireFox I see lines extending from the left-hand side on every other box in the sidebar and with my posts. If I view my site in IE these lines do not appear. I was just wondering if this is a bug and if it’s fixable or not.

I absolutely love this theme. Great work!

Jenna Says:

I have one small request. Would it be possible for you to make some bullets or small images using some of the flowers from the header image on the green background from the sidebar? I think they would look great with the sidebar titles.

ghyslain.armand Says:

Jenna -> i saw this indeed but it depends on wich version of firefox you use. If you use the last one, it will disapear but i don’t know why at this moment.

Martie Says:

Great layout. I love it!!

I do have a question….it seems that when I use the smileys it breaks the page on IE…(firefox is fine) you can see it here http://weblog.martieandpatrick.com/about/ and here http://weblog.martieandpatrick.com/2006/06/07/new-design/

I was just wondering if you knew how to make the smileys not float to the left.

Thanks again for the theme.

ghyslain.armand Says:

Martie -> indeed, someone has previously reported this bug on IE. I have added it to my bug traking list. Thank you.

Janelle Says:

I love your layouts. It’s neat and earthly! It’s beautiful… good job! :D

Verity Says:

I really love this theme, and colour combo, suits the retro look I am after. However, it will not work with my gallery (FAlbum) :(

Zahohie Says:

Thanks a lot for this beautiful theme!!!! I really love it and it seems to fit perfectly. I have only some problems - in IE 5.2 for Mac the right rounded side of each post is out of his boundaries and looks very strange, and the links to the sites are placed to high, inside of the flowers…. And how do you manage the widgets?! I would like to change some little things but I can’t make it work like you describe here on your site. In the admin panel in WordPress I can not find where to manage the widgets. It seems not to be there where it should be… Can you help me?!
Ah, and where I can find your bug tracking list?
Thanks a lot!!!!
Another thing - how do you get paid for your precious work here?! How does this work?!

ghyslain.armand Says:

Zahohie -> you must know that IE mac is the best browser in the world if you plan to get crazy :-) This browser should not be considered as a browser, so please don\’t talk to me about this crap. The theme goes weird in IE mac, and it\’s absolutely normal. Sorry to break your love for IE (if you do have one).

To manage the widgets you have to read this post in which i explain how to install the sidebar widgets. Don\’t forget to get the stewart\’s theme widgets too.

I don\’t have an official bug tracking list yet, i just write on post-it what people told me as one goes along.

To finish with, i\’m not paid to do this, this is a personal approach and a way to contribute to the wordpress comunauty. But i\’m open to any job opportunites. Becca for instance, hired me to build a custom design based on Rounded V2 and i\’m really glad to work for her.

Hope i reply to all of your questions.

Zahohie Says:

Thanks for your very quick reply. There is no love for IE I’m only using it to look up because a lot of my clients are using IE - but now I now - so thanks a lot!!!!
Sorry, but the links you set in your answer to me are not working…?!

ghyslain.armand Says:

Sorry, some slashes has been added to my reply, here is the link again : The post link

Zahohie Says:

Ah, and thanks a lot!!!! for your contribution on the wordpress community!!!! And who knows and I’ll come back to ask you to do a job for me…. I really love your work!!!! …But I need to get clear about some things for myself first….

ghyslain.armand Says:

Has been a pleasure to help you Zahohie.

Divine Calm Says:

I receive so many compliments on your design on my website. I love it, except I want to make the font bigger in my posts, and I am having trouble figuring it out. Normally, this is easy for me, but I am confused as to how you have it formatted. Any suggestions?

Kudos for your good work and great photography!

Marina Says:

I really love your rounder v.2 template.
I would like to make it compatible with Xoops CMS.

livefire Says:

Love the theme. I really do. I just found out there’s a maximum length to posts, though. Check this…
http://www.bloggeroni.livefire.org/?p=61#more-61

Would it be possible to have the background repeat vertically instead of horizontally?

Thanks!
(LIVEFIRE
livefire@gmail.com

ghyslain.armand Says:

Livefire -> yes there is a maximum height and width, this is because i used images to build post containers, was forced to do that because of my dropshadow effect. But remember you have PSD files so you can adjust size as you want.
Regarding the background, i don’t think it’s a good idea as it has been designed horizontally, anyway you can do tests in adding this image to the body’s background for instance.

Sora Says:

OMG, i love thees themes, specialy the blue one

Keep up the good work! and please make more themes like Rounded V2 blue edition ;>

toof Says:

hi ghyslain!
this is a truly elegant theme!
i really really like it and want to use it!

i have tested it on firefox (WIN and MAC) and safari and it looks awesome!

But using IE6 on WIN2K machines seems to put a white box over the first 3 letters of the first post… both on my development site and this site.

i’ve pored through the stylesheets to try to find a fix, but i’m stumped.

i’m curious if you or any of the other users of this theme have encountered this on a WIN2K system and can suggest a fix?

…other than boycotting all WIN2K machines ;)

Toof -> i think i see what you’re talking about but could you please send me a screenshot, i need to be sure. Thanks. You’ve got my email adress in the about section.

::Wendy:: Says:

‘fit and finnish’ issue with the ‘day’ listing. To reproduce either look at my August 10th entries or make 3 blog posts in one day.

actual behavior: the ‘day’ of the post field is blank in the first 2 posts
desired behaviour: the day of posting shows up on each individual blog entry (because it isn’t a heading for a group of entries)

I also get the same ‘blank’ white-box covering the title first 3 letters that toof mentions. This box disappears on mouse-hover-over. (IE7 on XP SP2 pro, and with IE7 on XPSP2 pro).

is there an easy ay to stop the theme automatically capitalizing lower-case letters (e.g. in blog-post headings)?

::Wendy:: Says:

i have the same issue as toof, it shows on both my machines XPSP2, your blog and my blog, and with IE6 and IE7

another 2 ‘fit and finnish’ oddities :-)

1) if you make more than 1 blog entry in any day the earlier blog entry does not publish a date in its details. I’d like publish date on each blog entry if possible

2) is there an easy way to stop the template deciding when to over-ride my use of case and impose use uppper-case?

still loving the template - its innovative :-)

Allen Says:

Something I noticed is that if you use an emoticon in your post, the location it is displayed is a bit weird. Seems like it’s always displayed at the start of a new line.

I would also like to see support for Gravatars. :)

Allen Says:

If you post more than one post on the same day, the posts under the first won’t show the post date, only the time. It would be nice if the other posts showed the date as well.

I would also prefer that info such as post date, filed under, and comments are not shown for pages.

Just my 2 cents, it’s still a great theme and thanks for it! :)

Q Says:

HI:

Thanks for a really cool theme. I just installed it. It doesn’t seem to work with the Sociable plugin. Maybe there’s something wrong with the plugin or the theme, I’m not sure. When I select show in ‘posts’ and ‘pages’, the sociable links show up fine in ‘pages’ but nothing shows up in ‘posts’. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Thanks for your time

Q

Ghyslain Says:

Hi Q, i never tried to install this plugin, i’ve seen on your blog that it doesn’t work with posts indeed. No idea at this moment, but i’ll try to see why soon.

Ghyslain Says:

Wich theme ?

Yiyan Says:

Hi Ghyslain,

I love your themes. I am using the blue version right now. I noticed a couple problems. One I saw another post reporting the same - the link section at the sidebar is very different than the others. Did you work out a solution?

The other is more serious for me, users cannot view comments or after posting comments get an error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_wpuser_comment() in /usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/yiyan.com/httpdocs/blog/wp-content/themes/rounded-v2-blue-edition/comments.php on line 46

Otherwise, I really like your design. It is great!! Keep up the good work.

Ghyslain Says:

Open style.css, on line 363 (dealing with .post p) add a break and type : font-size: 14px; for instance or any size you want (em or px).

heavyness Says:

has anyone got videos running in this theme? or i’m i doing something wrong? i tried embedded a youtube video, but it breaks the entire site.

otherwise, love this style!

Croft Says:

Hello Is something wrong with RSS in Rounded V2? :( Because blue version open without problem but RV2 original can’t open the Syndication file.

Could u help me ??? :(

PLEASE …

Ghyslain Says:

Croft -> it’s because of the feed:// instead of http:// before the url’s feed. Open footer.php and just change it, otherwise I’ll to change this soon.

Croft Says:

Thank u. If politics answer to people’s problem as fast as you do it….. ;)

>>>>THANK U so much you are great!!!! :)

Ghyslain Says:

Ha! :-)

^Raven^ Says:

I have run into one major error that drives me crazy. When posts are long they run out of white background and go into blue background. This makes the title and menu ( i.e. “Comments and Edit this post”) almost impossible to see. It also just looks bad.
You can see this in action at http://wargamingforums.com/?p=41 and http://wargamingforums.com/?p=34. I’m wondering if there’s a way you can fix this. I’m guessing that you have a fixed height for that particular table for the background and when the post is too long it surpasses it.

Wendy Says:

I am a newbie at this but I was wondering how to add things like “Contact” in the upper right corner of the template -

iCV Says:

Hi Ghyslain,
I’ve activate the plugin “Sidebar Widgets” v1.0 and when display in sidebar the link section this section is displayed without CSS style!!
How can I do to solve the problem?
What plugin you use for manage the “box” in sidebar?

Anirudh Says:

Hi,
Great theme, I have a neat little idea for your rounded blue theme. Because of the details of the post, categories, etc, but that takes about 2/3 of the width and especially on big posts, it can lead to a large whitespace. I’m thinking somehow making the div in which the text is there wrappable, so We can have a rounded box of say a very light blue and the text wraps around it, improving the readability and the coolness.
Regards
Anirudh

bauzyvaiz Says:

This is a great web. Congratulations!!! Good luck and keep well! My best wishes

irishblue Says:

very nice theme! thanks for sharing.
there is however some problem with images and alignment of text. although text have been given a new paragraph, they somehow still appear on the left / right of an image.. and that somehow leads to the white bg box not appearing in alignment with each post.

riri Says:

I’ve recently changed my web themes to your Rounded V2 themes, so beautiful, thx alot …. :)

But I’ve noticed at my past post, especially for a long one, some part is visible, the posting appears halfway, it seems that the beige background is not long enough to cover the contents.

Could u help me plz ?

Rgds

hi! i like your designs but i can’t use them since they are so feminine. i hope that you create themes that could cater to the men of the web. ;)

Lorraine Says:

Hi Ghyslain, Rounded Blue is beautiful, and I know you’ve mentioned adapting it to pink, but I thought I’d have a go with the elements you’ve made available for D/l. I’ve never done template editing with graphic elements before, so could you give us a few tips please?

Otherwise, will you be adapting it to pink soon?

Many thanks,

Lorraine

Hi!

Very nice theme!
Do you have a workaround for the problem with the white box in front of the first three letters when using the internet explorer?

Mihail Says:

Hello

First of all congrats for this theme. I believe I tried over 30 themes and look at around 100 before getting to this one and sticking to it :)

Now, it seems that for rounded-v2-beta I ran into a bottleneck. I want to have subpages and I would like to have this under the page right after I chose a page. The pages/subpages plugins that I tried having them on the right hand side do not work nice. (Subpages widget and TransMenu).

So, my question to is: can I make it somehow to show me the subpages under the page, right after that specific page is loaded?

Thanks!!!

Mihail Says:

Me…again :)
I was also wondering if it is possible with this theme to get the posts truncated in either places…categories or homepage.

Million thanks!!

Georgiana Says:

I have started using the new Margot theme on my musical blog, http://music.tekkie.ro/, where I share my musical favorites with friends. It’s lovely, and serves the purpose excellently.

Noteworthy, I have changed on that site about 20 WP themes in the past few months, but this one I think will last much longer. Congratulations!

Diana Says:

Hey!

I downloaded your fantastic theme from bloggertemplates.org to use it on my blog [on blogspoot.com].. I followed all the instructions but once I clicked “save” it gave me the following:

thanx for the suberb design; its light, living and beautiful.

I use it in my wordpressblog, but I got a minor problem with the header, its round shape is broken

Hopefully you can help me with this,

marcus ward Says:

Hi, have been using your original ’rounded by release’ theme on wordpress.com, i have since gone hosted with wordpress.org and am having a couple of problems. The rounded theme doesn’t load as expected and thus the layout is ‘wonky!’ I tried the other one with flowers at the top, but that seems to have every word beginning with a capital letter. I would hate to have to change my theme, and wondered if you could point me in the right direction. Ta

marcus ward Says:

Oh, and do they accept widgets?

Ghyslain Says:

Marcus,
to remove the text transformation on every first letters you just have to find this line : text-transform: capitalize; and remove it, that’s all.

marcus Says:

Thanks, how can i use widgets with it?

Ghyslain Says:

You can’t as rounded v1 isn’t a widget ready theme.

Moira Says:

Hi, my wp-blog doesn´t accept upploaded photos to be moved to the editor any longer.

Is there kind of limit or what, I mean that if I have loaded too much photos to my blog?
