New wordpress theme

Context
I’m still testing this wordpress theme I made during the last two days, based on the famous hemingway theme. I’d like to ask you to test it before I release it on themes.wordpress.net and officially on this site. It has been tested on IE6, IE7, Firefox and Safari but as usually bugs appear when users begin to use it I have to release it in beta mode before.
For those who have a good knowledge of photo copyrights, the one used in the header section of this theme has been bought on fotolia, but I’m not sure I have the right to use it in an opensource software released under a GPL license. If so, that means I’ll have to buy an exclusive license on fotolia and this isn’t going to happen as the price is too expensive for me. Well, I’m waiting for your suggestions, in waiting let’s talk about the theme.
Code name : Prairie
Easy to get, prairie because of the picture, prairie because of the wide feeling this theme gives. I took the Hemingway theme as a basis because I like the way the last two posts are displayed on the home page and because this theme is light and has good information organization. The blocks are clear, we find easily what we want, and it gives good relevance to the content. Give it a try in my preview themes section on your right.
Features
PNG transparency
All PNG images embedded in an img src tag are fixed with a javascript plugin and that means you can post full transparent png images within a post without any issues. A few css backgrounds are also fixed with the same method (search bar, buttons, …)
Javascript effects
Javascript effects to slide down or slide up the bottom sidebar (the classic sidebar is set to the bottom of the page on Hemingway theme) and the same for the comments list when you read a post (single page), pretty useless but fun!
Half liquid interface
Half liquid interface: the main container doesn’t fill the whole window but blocks are set in percentage so you could resize your browser and keep the look of pages safe.
Rounded corners
Rounded corners without any images, css hacks or anything else, it just uses a jquery plugin again and it works like a charm, see for yourself: the about and comments blocks are rounded with this method.
Widget ready
Widget ready, this theme has been tested on the last Wordpress version which has a native widget plugin and also worked fine on previous Wordpress versions with a widget plugin installed manually.
Download
Updated on Feb 28
Download Pairie wordpress theme now and I’d appreciate if you gave me feedback ASAP. Keep in mind it’s a beta version so don’t worry if things don’t work perfectly – just let me know if/what problems you might have. Thank you.
I love this theme, the look and feel are just right.. couple of things missing though… No post navigation. So i might be able to show the last 10 posts with a widget but thats about it. Might be an idea to add this in the next release.
Page navigation would be nice as wel although this could be done in a widget i guess..
still love theme and the crisp feeling!
Update : comments work for pages now and heading titles are more visible in posts. Prairie zip file has been therefore updated.
To Stas : I don’t know how to manage post navigation actually as those two columns for the last two posts is hard coded, whatever options you set in your admin panel under /options/reading/ there will be only 2 posts on first page.
This is a test post. Not important..
I love this theme too. But i have some problems with plugins. For example wordtube, easytube or anything that contains flash. While theme codes are default all pages have the same problem. So i add “?php wp_head(); ?” in header.php and then problem fixed except one. Still the contents of two columns in mainpage have the problem.
If any way to fix it let me know. Sorry for my bad english.
What a beautifull template !
This is a very nice theme. I would recommend this theme to anyone. I have used it on a personal website of mine and although I do not use many plugins this theme seems to work out for me. The design is the best part.
Wow… after a long silence…
Congratulations on the release of the new theme!
Is it Hemingway-based theme?
Yep, it is.
Finally something new and black from my favourite WP themer

I have suggestions though:
- left by the post should be dynamic sidebar (bellow about) so i could put more things there
- spacing between footer and closed navigation is far too big and not acceptable
-these dark green for comments background doesnt fit to well…looks like someone threw up - i would suggest something around #141914
- its not valid - moz-opacity is not CSS standard. Yes i know its for stupid firefox that still havent implemeted CSS3, but still…w3c might like u more if u throw that out
- maybe its just me but it looks XPish…make a Mac version too, OK?
hi, how can i have it as my own wordpress template? please advice
hi, This theme is beautiful, but i don’t the footer it’s not professional. I prefer margot than prarie.
anyway Great theme
Great theme!
I installed the theme but i can get the show / hide navigation to work. When clicking on the link nothing happens. Any suggestions?
thanks
i managed to fix the problem by disabling all of my plugins. Do any plugins work with this theme?
Martin
I love this theme! Thanks so much for your hard work. So far every plugin works great with exception of Lightbox 2 v1.8.
I recently upgraded to WP 2.5 and I am using the newest compatible version of Lightbox 2.04 v1.8 WP plugin and Add Lightbox .3 plugin. Lightbox works fine with any other theme I installed so it has to be some conflict in the theme. I will let you know if I figure it out.
Also, I can not get the hide/show comments link to work.
I know you are in beta so I hope this helps.
