It could be this one, who knows ?

Rounded Blue edition : PSD files are here.

wordpress-rounded-blue-edition-psd-files.jpg
My PSD files are available, but I have to warn you before you download them, they are truly a mess. So please, please, don’t blame me for that, I’m not a well organized man, so here they are just as I made them. In fact, the most important thing is that I kept my guides; you’ll need them to crop the four images used in the main containers (see Rounded-main.psd). I mean a mess because you won’t find nice layers with explicit names and ready to customize, just use them as an example of how to do your own. Bearing this in mind, I’ve tried to clean up them as much as possible.

What does this zip contain ?

  • Rounded-alternativ-header.psd
  • Rounded-big-cross-ice-cube.psd
  • Rounded-footer.psd
  • Rounded-header.psd
  • Rounded-leave-reply.psd
  • Rounded-little-cross-ice-cube.psd
  • Rounded-little-cross-ice-cube-bis.psd
  • Rounded-main.psd
  • Rounded-prev-next.psd

Download them now ~ 4.6 Mb

For those who don’t have photoshop or enough RAM or are just too lazy to fill layers in other colours, you’ll have to wait for my next sleepless night, unless I receive so many comments that I won’t be able to refuse releasing pink or black editions.

Rounded V2 - blue edition

Wordpress themes - rounded-v2-blue-edition Something to cool your blog during this hot summer, Rounded V2 wears his short.

Ok it’s the Rounded theme but what’s new there ?
Well, nothing really new, post metas are just displayed on right and more detailed, i used excellents Fam Fam Silk Icons thanks to Mark James, CSS files have been cut in seven parts to be more comprehensive and calendar block is now skinned (on the contrary to Rounded V2 and V1).

PSD files aren’t yet ready to be released but it’s coming. Download Rounded V2 Blue edition.

Magic Jewball redesign

magicjewball.jpg I’d like to show you the blog I redesigned this month : Magic Jewball. Rounded V2 was the basis on which i worked and i thought it could be interesting to show you the results.

You will find some features/plugins I’d like to implement on my next rounded themes like the lightbox JS, more post metas, related posts and so on. I chose not to use the widgets plugin because Becca knew what she wanted in her sidebar and because I think widgets offer a great flexibility but we usually use it the first day and never touch it again.

I’m taking this opportunity to ask you how you use the widgets plugin to build your own sidebar. Do you use it often ? Do you think it’s easier to install a plugin in order to move your blocks than openning a php file and editing few lines of it ?

Because widgets add an important amount of work to make a theme compatible, i’m interesting in knowing your opinion about that. Thank you.

I’m interested in your opinion about the Magic Jewball redesign too, of course, so please post your comments.
