Valid xhtml css
I’ve just corrected few errors that the w3 validator returned. Initialy the markup validator didn’t want to eat the flickrbagde soup but i found the solution on Veerle’s blog, thanks to her. Few corrections later, rounded v2 passed with success the test validation. The css file has been improved too with others php files such as index or comment. Some id’s were called twice or more in a same page, so i rather converted them to class.
I tried to make this v2 version working on most recent browsers (firefox, opera, IE). IE 5.5, 6 and 7 beta 2 have been considered too. Sorry for safari users i have no idea how it displays on this.
Note that you have to comment two lines in widgets.php, (under your plugin directory /widgets/widgets.php) Comment on line 1089 the following code :
These lines originally added a style code in the head section, otherwise the validation doesn’t passed, validator seemed to detect error on background: orange.
You should have noticed too that i’ve modified a bit the comments area by encapsulating each comment in a rounded container which alternates between ‘alt’ and ‘norm’ style.
V2 zip is up to date.
Weird problem w/ IE still seems to be happening — the text in the story content “cuts” off on the left. Works great in FFox, obviously — and the theme is spectacular regardless. Sadly, about 70% of my site viewers stll use IE, so this poses a big problem.

Paul, thank you for your bug report, i’ll try to fix this (minor) pb asap.
Glad to help out — I think this theme is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen for WP, and obviously eager to use it.
This has to be one of the most beautiful wordpress themes out there at the moment. Congrats on a fabulous template - I love it.
As for your safari woes, I’m look at it now and all seems fine, I’ll test it a bit more throughly to see if their are any bugs and all that.
Great job!
Thank you Darren.
Veerle is a woman! The blond-haired girl in the header of her site is a self-portrait!
Oops !! i’m confused, really sorry for HER.
very nice theme! thanks for sharing.
there is however some problem with images and alignment of text. although text have been given a new paragraph, they somehow still appear on the left / right of an image.. and that somehow leads to the white bg box not appearing in alignment with each post.
I need some help with the Asktheseguys wordpress theme..
I can't figure out how to get the header and ad bar at the top to go all the way across the screen.. Or better yet, how I can place an ad box in the empty space at the top right.
I can usually figure this stuff out easily, but can't find anything in the CSS that will make it work..
Anyone have any ideas?
Hello,
I am also having much trouble with image alignment. I’ve tried every “fix” I could find– when in the Visual editor, everything is kosher, but as soon as I publish, my photos are no longer centered, and the text is no longer left-justified.
This is by far the prettiest template out there, so I’m really hoping you can help me out!
Thanks in advance,
